I’m still not sure I’m ok with the idea of having to charge my watch every day, but these iPod Nano watch kits are bad-ass. If you agree, head over to Kickstarter and back this project.
Replenish spray bottle - Like so many great designs, it seems obvious in hindsight. This is brilliant on so many levels. (via Core77)
Jaguar’s C-X75 electric (!) concept car rocks two mini turbine engines for that extra bit of passing power oomph.
Design prodigy Andrew Kim is at it again. This time he’s created some unbelievable photorealistic concept pieces (in Photoshop no less) for a set of minimalist earphones. Bonus points for using Broken Bells in the Nano rendering.
Bicycle speedometer concept. New kind on bicycle accessory, with clues of wristwatch aesthetics. All information is shown in analog look, like in older cars and motorbikes. Main shape of the speedometer also refers to bicycle bell function.
The pre-order allotment has sold out (sound familiar?), but Weta says you can still pick up a District 9 Arc Generator replica at upcoming conferences. If the $499 price tag is too steep for you, you can always go with a miniature Alien Assault Rifle instead.
The Genius of Design - I bummed last month when the BBC put this out and it was limited to UK audiences online. I’ve had it on my todo list to tinker with Tor to see if I could watch it covertly, but the first episode has popped up on Vimeo. I’m downloading the .mp4 in case it disappears.
How badass would you feel getting your Crysis on in this puppy? Hopefully it’s comfy - at $40k, you might not have anything else to sit on.
